A Fairy Tale

Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess. She was having a bad day. There was much crying, head butting and attacking of inanimate objects in the land. Her royal nursemaid was on scullery duty and the distressed princess began to relax. She climbed into the apparatus for cleaning off caked on foodstuffs and began pulling out the dirty goblets and placing them back into the cupboards. The weeping and wailing had ceased and the nursemaid was happy. Now the nursemaid realized after capturing the sheer moments of joy, that the royal dagger was near the princess as she worked so please do not call all the king's horses and all the king's men. It was promptly removed and the princess was unharmed...until she head butted a drawer.

That's cute! What a nice little fairy tale. Well, except for the very end. Poor girl! I love it how kids can be distracted from their unhappiness by such everyday things as emptying the dishwasher.

Cute.
Poor sweetie! Is she teething or just not getting her way?
The dishwasher is a great cure. My kids loved it, too.
I'm glad to see you have fairy tales on the brain.

I like the way you turned a distressing moment for both of you into something you both could deal with, smart mom.

What a stupendous fairy tale starring our very own Queen! She is such a riot!! You capture great moments on your camera. I love looking at your blog and seeing our grandchildren, and of course you and Tony when you appear occasionally. I hope our sweet Cecilia has or is taking a nap right now.
